Supporting key challenges for the planet
The Farm to Fork Strategy is at the heart of the European Green Deal aiming to make food systems fair, healthy and environmentally-friendly. We need to redesign our food systems which today account for nearly one-third of global GHG emissions, consume large amounts of natural resources, result in biodiversity loss and negative health impacts
The situation of our food and agricultural system, facing the effects of the climate change and linked to the rise of both global population and needs is more than worrying. The need of production can no longer be solved by the excessive exploitation of our soils which has only led to the degradation of lands.
Agroecology is the answer.
Sustainable Development Goals
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.
